Mental Wellbeing Among Salesforce Consultants [Research Launching]

Ahead of London’s Calling 2022, I’m looking for thoughts and feedback from Salesforce consultants on the subject of ‘mental wellbeing at work’. This is a topic I’ve discussed on several occasions with my colleagues, at user groups, and on LinkedIn – understandably, it is important to a lot of people.

I’m not a qualified medical or HR professional and I certainly don’t have all the answers. However, my objective is to hear from the wider ecosystem, amplify our voices, and prompt conversations about how we can stay mentally fit.

What Does It Mean to Be Mentally Fit?

MHFA England advocates treating mental health in the same way as physical health – something we should all “look after” to ensure our overall wellbeing. The two are totally intertwined, so in order to be healthy, we must take a holistic approach. The term “mental fitness” can also be used to describe the preventative steps we take to help promote and maintain good mental health. Understanding and communicating about our mental health are both essential parts of the puzzle.

There’s already a great deal of debate about what works (and what doesn’t) in terms of wellbeing, and we’ve seen our fair share of buzzwords. Across all industries, the pandemic has woken people up to the massive impact work can have on our wellbeing. The lines between ‘work’ and ‘life’ have been blurred and repeatedly redrawn.

What does this mean for the future of work? The Salesforce Ben team have published insights into job satisfaction as well as studies on burnout.
