13 Hottest Salesforce Summer ‘25 Features for Admins

By Christine Marshall

Things are heating up! Salesforce Summer ’25 has officially landed, and it’s bringing the sizzle with a fresh batch of features every admin will want to dive into. Whether you’re streamlining processes, wrangling data, or just looking for a smoother admin experience, this release is packed with sunshine-worthy updates to make your workday brighter.

I’ve rounded up the top features that’ll help you soak up the best of what Summer ’25 release has to offer. Let’s make a splash!

1. Simplify Feature Discovery and Setup with Salesforce Go

First things first, Sales Cloud Go has been renamed to Salesforce Go.

Right now, it helps you discover and configure new Sales Cloud features more easily. But with the new name, it feels like a signal that this could expand to other Salesforce clouds in the future…

2. Choose Which Dashboard Widgets to Refresh (Generally Available)

In Reports and Dashboards Settings, select “Let users refresh individual widgets for dashboards” to enable users to refresh specific widgets on a dashboard instead of the entire dashboard. This feature was in Beta in the Spring ‘25 release and is now generally available as of the Summer ‘25 release.

3. Designate One Email Address to Send Report Subscription Notifications (Generally Available)

How often, as an admin, have you been asked to set up a report subscription for a few sales managers who refuse to learn how to do it themselves? Dutifully, you set up the subscription, and the report is being sent to them weekly. You then notice an influx of emails from these sales managers, asking you to explain things to them… Perhaps the email goes something like this: “This report is rubbish. It’s definitely not right. It doesn’t match my Excel spreadsheet.”

Now, I can’t actually help you with sales managers who rely on Excel spreadsheets and whose teams don’t actually update their opportunities in Salesforce. But what I can do is tell you about the ability to send report subscriptions from an organization-wide email address instead of the report subscription coming from the person who set it up (aka – you).

In Reports and Dashboards Settings, enable Enable Org-Wide Email Address for Report Subscription, and choose an organization-wide email address to use (these are set up in the Organization-Wide Addresses page in Setup).

4. Designate One Email Address to Send Dashboard Subscription Notifications

Guess what, that great trick we just talked about for report subscriptions? We can do that for dashboards, too. Get it set up… it might reduce the number of emails you get!

5. Use Existing Report Settings When Adding Tables to Dashboards (Beta)

I really like this little enhancement to reports and dashboards. As someone who gets fed up with reconfiguring my report settings when I create a table in a dashboard, I’m loving the ability to copy the settings from the source report automatically

When adding your report to a dashboard widget, select “Use table settings from report (Beta)”. This will copy things like groupings, sorting, bucketing, or custom formulas.

6. Enhance Accessibility with the Improved List Views Dropdown Menu

This update enables better accessibility and easier searching for list views. Salesforce has updated the dropdown menu you use to choose list views to make it more user-friendly and consistent across the platform. It now uses Lightning Web Components, but the way you use list views hasn’t really changed. The new menu shows your most recent views, allows you to scroll through up to 100 list views, and – best of all – lets you search for a specific list view right from the top of the dropdown.

7. Get the Desktop Dynamic Related List Experience on Mobile (Beta)

Dynamic Related Lists are now available for the mobile experience in Beta. Previously, this feature was only available for the desktop experience. You will need to enable this feature via the Salesforce Mobile App Setup.

8. Easily Remove Relationships Before Deleting a Custom Object

Ever tried to delete a custom object in Salesforce, only to get blocked because it’s tied to a bunch of other objects? Yep, we’ve all been there. Starting in the Summer ’25 release, Salesforce makes this a whole lot easier with a new detailed page that shows exactly which objects your custom object is related to. You’ll see the related object names, the field API names, and even clickable links to the related objects, so you can quickly jump in and remove those relationships without digging around.

9. Update Object Permissions for All Custom Permission Sets or Profiles in One Step

Tired of clicking into every permission set or profile just to tweak object access? Good news! In Summer ’25, you can now edit object permissions across all custom permission sets and profiles from one place. Head to the Object Manager, select your object, and open the Access Summary. From there, you can easily review, add, or remove permissions, no more jumping around.

10. Edit Permissions Faster in the Permission Set Summary

You asked, and Salesforce delivered! Now you can edit user, object, field, and custom permissions directly from the permission set summary view – no more bouncing between multiple Setup pages. Previously, you could only make limited changes here, but with this update, managing permissions just got faster and easier. Another great win made possible by your input on IdeaExchange!

11. Manage Included Permission Sets in the Permission Set Group Summary

You can now edit which permission sets are included in a permission set group right from the summary view. Previously, this section was read-only, so this update makes it much easier to take action while reviewing your setup. Another great step toward faster, more efficient admin work!

12. Review Tab Settings in Access Summaries

In the Summer ’25 release, a new Tabs section has been added to the View Summary area of permission sets. If you’ve configured tab settings for an object within a permission set, you’ll now see them listed here. Just note: this section is read-only, so while you can view tab assignments, you won’t be able to make changes from this screen.

13. View and Manage a User’s Permission Sets, Groups, and Queues More Easily

Need a quick way to see and manage what a user has access to? The User Access Summary just got a glow-up. You can now view, add, or remove users from permission sets, permission set groups, and queues, all from one place. Plus, with new options to search, sort, and refresh each section, staying on top of user access is easier than ever. A huge time-saver for busy admins.
