Sales Cloud Go: Dive Into the New Sales Cloud Setup Experience

By Andreea Doroftei

Between the numerous amazing updates the previous releases saw across the entire platform, there has also been a significant enhancement to the way teams will be able to discover, review, enable, and monitor Sales Cloud features. This enhanced experience is already seeing improvements in Spring ‘25 and has the potential to help Salesforce Admins make the most out of their features while also finding out about others, all in one place.

In this post, we will explore the new Sales Cloud setup experience and the benefits it brings to Sales Cloud Admins across all editions.

Tailored Setup Experience

It should come as no surprise that this change is the result of admin feedback, having at its core one main question: how do Awesome Admins learn about new Sales Cloud features? Having learned that a certain feature or product was available in their org, admins lacked a way to seamlessly find enablement resources to help with positioning for the upper management discussions, turn these features on, and monitor adoption and usage in a centralized way.

The new Sales Cloud setup experience is called Sales Cloud Go, and it is available to all users with the “View Setup and Configuration” permission. Of course, in order to proceed with turning on any of the features, “Customize Application” is needed as well. It can be accessed from a couple of places – either under the Settings wheel > Sales Setup or directly under the Sales Setup page within the Setup.

All You Need in One Place

The purpose of Sales Cloud Go is to offer Sales Cloud Admins (and Salesforce professionals who configure Sales Cloud) everything they need in one place – removing the need to stop, look for documentation, or further explore the feature they want to enable.

Having everything at your fingertips and waiting for you to get started will supercharge productivity and ultimately deliver value faster. Let’s discover how this translates into the actual experience…

Explore the Feature Sets

The first things you will likely notice are the tiles that look like goals, or the jobs that your teams are doing – these are the Features and Feature Sets which are intentionally organized and grouped by what can be achieved.

While the Features are straightforward individual features, clicking into each feature set will surface a list of products depending on what’s available in your own org – some feature sets may already be in progress depending on what you have enabled in the org prior to Sales Cloud Go going live. This way, no matter where you are in your journey, you can still check out what other features may complement your implementation.

For some of the feature sets, a secondary list of products and add-ons will also be displayed towards the end of the page in a dedicated Explore More Features section.

In this new iteration, there will also be a tab-style experience to peruse through, which comes especially handy when you are looking to discover features. The search can be narrowed down by status, availability, as well as even the latest available features, such as Sales Account Plans.

Resources at Your Fingertips

Locating the right documentation and information can sometimes turn into a bit of a journey, so having all resources available directly from Sales Cloud Go is certainly a time-saving addition! Embedded in each feature within the feature sets you will find relevant links to Salesforce help, which – depending on the feature – cover the functionality and prerequisites, as well as any considerations you may need to take into account.

As well as hyperlinks to the written documentation, there are three additional types of resources which you will find across different products:

  1. Snapshot: An embedded screenshot preview of the feature or product.
  1. Tour: A more detailed multi-step walkthrough of the product’s functionality and details, which opens in a new tab for you to click through.
  1. Video: While written documentation is great, and so are the other options, sometimes an end-to-end demo of the feature video is exactly what you need. For some of the features, such as the In-App Guidance one above, an embedded video is readily available for you to check out.

Note that all of these resources can be easily shared with your stakeholders to help get the conversation going – simply click the “Copy Details” button under the arrow available on each tile or after clicking on the feature.

Take Action

By this time, you will already have seen the features that are included and readily available in your org for the different goals to be achieved. You have explored the considerations and overall documentation and even taken a tour (if available), so the time has come to buckle up and turn one of these on!

Since Sales Engagement is available and Lead Intelligence View was already turned on, let’s complete the Capture & Auto-Qualify Leads feature set by turning on Sales Engagement. As you can see below, starting this process from Sales Cloud Go is a breeze!

Enabling features is usually just the first step. Once Sales Engagement (in this case) has been turned on, you will be prompted to continue to the next step, which is configuring the feature. As of now, a button is available to redirect you to the correct Setup page to continue. However, with Spring ‘25, you will have a more detailed breakdown of the required and optional setup, including the ability to manage permission assignments, as well as the button to navigate to Setup when needed!

Monitor Your Features

With Salesforce being committed to ongoing enhancements to Sales Cloud Go to offer you even more insights and a truly seamless experience, it should come as no surprise that Spring ‘25 is bringing the ability to monitor the features you already enabled within the same place.

Sales Cloud Go is set to become the go-to location for feature access management, usage monitoring, and of course, finding out everything there is to know about new Sales Cloud features and add-ons. Depending on the feature, you will have the option to manage the configuration by assigning permissions and monitoring license consumption where applicable.

Summary

As a one-stop shop for Sales Cloud Admins, Sales Cloud Go has the potential to save a significant amount of time right from day one. With the ability to quickly access official resources, such as written documentation, snapshots, and even comprehensive product tours, there’s no need for admins to find their way around Setup when exploring and enabling features they already have available in their org.
