Tuesday was a highlight for every Salesforce Admin at Dreamforce 25 – Admin Keynote Day! Missed it? Don’t worry – you can still catch all the action on Salesforce+.
In this post, we’re breaking down the big announcements, new features, and key takeaways every admin should know from this year’s keynote. Let’s jump in!
1. Admins Are Powering the Agentic Enterprise
The opening message from the Admin keynote was clear: admins are the heartbeat of the agentic enterprise.
Mike Gerholdt reminded us that the skills we already have – analytics, data management, security, and user enablement – are exactly what organizations need to bring AI agents to life.
So, no reinvention needed. You already have the foundation to make the magic happen.
2. Agentforce 360: The Platform That Brings It All Together
Let’s start with the big announcement: Agentforce 360. Salesforce calls it “the most dependable and accessible agent platform yet,” and it’s designed to help businesses create AI agents that reason, act, and collaborate alongside humans.
It’s made up of four key ingredients:
- Agentforce Platform: The brains behind it all, complete with a new Agentforce Builder (a conversational development studio) and Agentforce Voice (for natural, real-time voice interactions).
- Data 360 (Data Cloud): The data powerhouse that gives agents real context, powered by Intelligent Context and Tableau Semantics.
- Customer 360 Apps: All your business logic, institutional memory, and process knowledge that the agents can use to take real action.
- Slack: The friendly front-end where humans and agents collaborate.
This combination means you can build reliable, grounded agents that use your existing Salesforce data and workflows, without starting from scratch.
3. Build AI Agents With Natural Language (and No Headaches)
The new Agentforce Builder is a dream come true for anyone who’s ever felt intimidated by complex setup screens or endless toggles. You can design, test, and deploy agents all in one workspace, and, most importantly, do it in plain English.
Think of it as your own AI workshop, where you can:
- Write or adjust agent logic using natural language.
- Simulate real interactions to test behavior instantly.
- Switch between doc-style, low-code, and script views depending on your comfort level.
- It’s low-code meets AI, and it’s genuinely built with admins in mind.
4. Say Hello to Agentforce Voice
This one’s exciting! Agentforce Voice transforms those clunky IVR systems into real conversations.
Picture this: a customer calls your company, and instead of wading through a maze of “Press 1 for…” options, they simply talk to a natural, human-like voice that can look up Salesforce records, trigger automations, or even update data, all in real time.
Better still, everything is fully auditable through Data 360, meaning you get the best of AI with the peace of mind of enterprise-grade governance.
5. Setup Gets Smart With Agentforce for Setup
Raise your hand if you’ve ever spent too long in Setup trying to find that one setting or permission set! Now imagine being able to ask Setup questions in natural language and getting real results, fast. With Agentforce for Setup, you can do just that.

You could try asking, “Does Sarah Green have access to Accounts?” or “Create a flow that updates the Amount field.”

The Setup agent doesn’t just find what you need; it can recommend best practices, explain what a flow is doing, and even create or modify objects for you.
In the Admin keynote demo, the team created an entire custom object, built a flow, added an approval process, and summarized it, all through a conversation. No hunting through tabs. No endless clicking. Just a few friendly prompts.
6. Smarter Security Made Simple
Security has always been a time-consuming area for admins, but Salesforce is making it far easier. The new Setup experience lets you troubleshoot and assign permissions conversationally, without bouncing between multiple screens.
You can ask the Setup agent to find which permission set grants access to an object, assign it to a user, and confirm it all within a single flow of conversation.
And if you’re ready to go deeper, the Security Center and Shield products now include Agentforce-powered insights to automatically highlight risky settings and potential compliance issues. Think of it as having a security co-pilot always watching your org’s back.
7. Slack Is Now the Heart of the Agentic Enterprise
If you love Slack, this announcement will make your day. Slack is no longer just where we chat: it’s where humans and agents work side by side.
In the demo, we saw Agent Aloha, a friendly AI assistant that handled everything from booking room blocks to generating contracts and even ordering welcome gifts, all within Slack.
You can also use Slackbot, your personal AI productivity assistant, to pull meeting briefs, create canvases, and surface Salesforce data in seconds. No more switching tabs or digging through records. Everything happens in conversation.
Summary
If Dreamforce 2025 made one thing clear, it’s that the future of Salesforce isn’t replacing admins, it’s amplifying them.
Agentforce 360 and Agentforce for Setup are about giving you superpowers:
- Fewer clicks.
- Smarter recommendations.
- Conversational workflows that make complex tasks feel simple.
