Spring ‘26 preview orgs are live, and it’s time for a preview party! This exciting time, when changes become available in preview orgs, is about to kick off. We’ll share the sign-up link once preview org registrations go live on December 18. Then, we’ll have the opportunity to explore the new Salesforce release features before they’re pushed to production. It’s the perfect chance to learn how to harness these new capabilities when they are officially released (full details here).
You will be able to access these features before then if you have signed up for a preview org in the past – but if not, you’ll need to wait until then to sign up. This is an excellent reminder to save your preview org credentials so that you can access future features sooner!
1. Flow Logging in Automation App With Data 360
The Automation App has a new tab and new functionality along with it! Now, when you choose to store your Flow run metrics in Data 360, you’ll have a dedicated Lightning Page to manage them in.

Unfortunately, my developer org does not have a Data 360 subscription available for me to set up, so I couldn’t demo this feature much beyond showing you the splash screen, but it seems fairly self-explanatory.
2. Custom Styling for Screens in Flow Builder
With Spring ‘26, you can take direction from your extremely talented design team and change the color of various elements of the screen in your Screen Flows. This is accessible through a new Style tab in the properties panel in a Screen element.

You can change the color of buttons, borders, backgrounds, and text elements throughout the page. It’s handy, albeit a bit fiddly. Unfortunately, you cannot use a variable or formula as a color value or text size value. This would’ve been nice, and I can imagine it will come in a future iteration.
3. LWR File Upload Component for Experience Cloud Screen Flows
Another release, another native File Upload component for Screen Flow! Jokes aside, the new LWR File Upload component for Salesforce Flow is designed for LWR Experience sites and supports both authenticated and guest user scenarios.

According to Salesforce, it is based on the File Upload for Experience Cloud LWR component.
4. Kanban Board Component in Screen Flow
The Kanban Board component in Salesforce Screen Flow allows the Flow Designer to embed a Kanban board to visualize records to help users manage their work.

Users can interact with the Kanban board within the Screen Flow by moving items between the columns.
5. Possibly a New Choice Type in Salesforce Flow
This one I’m not too sure about – it could simply be a rendering bug, but I noticed a new choice type option came up when I was trying to create a Choice resource.

It could be nothing… but then again, it could be something! The first parts of the release dropped in my org within the last 24 hours, and recent releases have shown that only portions of a new feature often deploy on the first day, with the rest appearing later. Watch this space!
6. Make Columns Editable in Flow Data Table Component
This one is going to be an absolute game-changer. I’ve been begging for this since the release of the native Data Table component in Salesforce Flow, and Spring ‘26 finally brings about editability. As of right now, I have not been able to get these features to work, though.

Interestingly, this feature has since disappeared for me, and Adam White has mentioned that features may be disabled if issues are found. Fingers crossed this doesn’t mean we’ll have to wait for another release… but it’s good news that it’s in the works regardless.
7. New Multi-Page Experience Flow Type for Experience Cloud
There is a new Multi-Page Experience Flow type that can be built. Salesforce says it’s valuable when it requires interaction across multiple pages.

I tried to have a play and couldn’t find anything super interesting; in fact, I was unable to even embed that new Flow type in a test Experience Site.
8. Dedicated Salesforce Shield App
With all the talk about security, it’s good to be reminded about what Salesforce offers in terms of platform security tools. Salesforce has created a new application to house anything and everything related to Salesforce Shield.

With tabs for Data Detect, Field Audit Trail, Event Monitoring, and Platform Encryption, we’re now seeing yet another ‘admin’ tool visible and manageable in the main application. This makes it a lot easier than ever before to manage your Salesforce Shield investment.
9. Disabled Ability to Create New Connected Apps
Salesforce is disallowing the ability to create new Connected Apps within Salesforce in favor of the new External Client Apps. In the External Client App section’s Settings page in Setup, the ability to create new Connected Apps is hidden behind Salesforce Customer Support.

This is in line with a help article that Peter Chittum guided me to recently, which explains that Connected Apps are being done away with in favor of the new External Client Apps.
10. Experience Cloud General Enhancements
As per usual, Experience Cloud is enhanced in a number of new ways. The biggest one that stands out to me is the Custom Property Editors and Lightning Types. I’ve always felt the Experience Cloud builder lagged quite a bit behind the Lightning App Builder, so this is a welcome change.

Generative Engine Optimization is also an intriguing tool. I’m excited to see this one in action.
BONUS: DX Banner in Developer Orgs
I have deliberately hidden this from all of my screenshots in this article until now… the DX banner now shows in Developer Orgs that are not sandboxes!

Previously, this was only available for sandboxes and enabled quick access to Change Management in the UI.
WANTED: Missing Features
Flow Trigger Explorer in Automation App
With the Automation App now being where we manage Flows, it would be great to see the Flow Trigger Explorer added to this. I’d also love to see it with some new features and using LWC instead of Aura!
Enhanced Role List View Hierarchy
The Enhanced Role List View was released in Spring ‘25, but did not come with a Hierarchical View. This makes it a great feature that is borderline unusable because it is missing a critical feature.
Editable Data Table Component (Pending in Spring ‘26)
I know there are countless third-party solutions – which is brilliant and one of the great strengths of the Salesforce ecosystem – but what about orgs with tight security where installing third-party apps is difficult? What about making the already great Data Table component even greater by allowing editable cells?
Update in Spring ‘26: This looks like it is on its way! The first drop of Spring ‘26 in my Preview Org showed signs of this coming, but it has since been removed. We will have to wait until the release notes to know for sure.
New Schema Builder
Schema Builder is a powerful tool, but it is dreadfully outdated. It shares aesthetics with Cloud Flow Designer, which was replaced in 2019. There are also limitations in terms of screen real estate – a great opportunity to explore making this tool better!
Summary
And there you have it! These are my favorite features (uncovered so far!), including a few that I’ve read about but haven’t yet been lucky enough to get my hands on.
We’re still super early in the release cycle, and we anticipate more new features to come, as well as refinement for those we’ve seen already in the above article.
It’ll be exciting to see some of the more hidden features come to light when the Salesforce release notes are available on December 19 – what a bonanza of a release this one is! And don’t forget to sign up for a pre-release org to see what you can find.
