The State of Salesforce DevOps survey is back and bigger than ever! Last year, a record number of you took part in the Salesforce DevOps survey, giving huge insight into how teams are performing across the whole ecosystem.
Now’s your chance to get involved again and see what’s in store in 2024.
Why Should You Take Part?
DevOps has become the de facto standard for Salesforce development. Professionals and organizations recognize they need to adopt DevOps practices to keep pace with user demand, or risk getting left behind. By taking part in this year’s survey you’ll help uncover trends and patterns to see how Salesforce teams are approaching their release management and adoption of DevOps.
Our DevOps experts will analyze the survey results and compile the 2024 State of Salesforce DevOps report. The report will uncover the key trends to look out for and the current state of play for Salesforce DevOps, helping you stay ahead of the curve and plan for success in the coming year.
Plus, you’ll also be in with the chance to win a $1000 Amazon gift card just by taking part!
What Did Last Year’s Report Find?
Thanks to the 1254 Salesforce professionals from around the world who took part in the survey last year, we were able to share great insights into the changing ecosystem. Here are the four key findings from the 2023 version:
- Salesforce DevOps accelerates digital transformation: Almost half of respondents said that digital transformation is a top priority. Teams are using Salesforce DevOps to upgrade from legacy systems and replace outdated, inefficient ways of working to future-proof their processes.
- Rising complexity of Salesforce creates a challenge: Almost all of the respondents said that their organization’s use of Salesforce has evolved — whether it’s implementing more apps and integrations or supporting more end users, Salesforce is increasingly complex for teams to manage.
- Disaster recovery plans boost resilience: The majority (67%) of respondents said their business had suffered metadata or data loss in 2022 — with a worrying 6% saying they didn’t know if they had or not. But thankfully teams are able to recover from a loss quickly, most within a day or less.
- Training builds a culture of collaboration: A big theme coming through last year was that training in DevOps can help organizations foster a culture of collaboration, experimentation, and continuous improvement. Only 16% receive no DevOps training at all, with the majority being offered training once a month or once a quarter.
This is just a sneak peak into the findings from last year’s report and by taking the survey you’ll help us uncover great insights for the coming year too!
What Next?
The survey closes in January so make sure to get involved while you can! And don’t forget to share with your network too – the more teams who get involved, the better understanding we can share about what’s to come for Salesforce DevOps in 2024.
