TrailblazerDX 2024: What Happens Behind the Scenes?

By Sasha Semjonova

If you weren’t able to make it to San Francisco last week for this year’s TrailblazerDX, then you might be wondering: what actually happens at the event? What goes on behind the scenes?

Although catching the top sessions on Salesforce+ is definitely a bonus (plus you can curl up in the comfort of your own home to watch them), the energy of the in-person event is something that every Trailblazer should experience at least once. For now, here’s my very own backstage look to help with any feelings of FOMO and give you a sneak peek!

The Main Event

As you may already know, TrailblazerDX is hosted at the Moscone Center, where a brilliant events team transforms the space into its very own Ohana-inspired learning environment. Meander through lush greenery, spot mascots in every corner, and explore cool, woody hideaways as you attend your sessions and get some networking in… well, it’s not quite like that, but I must admit it looks pretty cool!

As we were wandering around, we also couldn’t help but notice Salesforce’s own filming setup, cleverly titled “Salesforce on AIr.” Alright Salesforce, we see you…

The Press Room

This year, a couple of us on the team were fortunate enough to get press access. Myself and my colleague Andrew had the amazing opportunity to sit in on press panels with the likes of Clara Shih, the CEO of Salesforce AI, and Alice Steinglass, the EVP & GM of Platform at Salesforce, and more!

Getting their expert insights and predictions for the future was a great “look behind the curtain” of some fantastic technologies and exciting developments. After all: who better to hear this from than the experts themselves?

Official Interviews

I also had the great opportunity to interview Ann Weeby, the SVP of Trailhead, and Jayesh Govindarajan, the SVP of Salesforce AI. Both of them had such interesting things to say, and you can expect more in the area soon!

Andrew and I also found ourselves invited to a roundtable discussion with Muralidhar Krishnaprasad, the EVP of Engineering at Salesforce and the creator of Data Cloud, as well as John Kucera, the SVP of Product Management at Salesforce. To say that we got some exclusive insight is an understatement indeed!

Getting Stuck Into Workshops

One of the best parts of attending an event like TrailblazerDX in person is the hands-on learning. Andrew got stuck into a few interactive workshops to get to know more about AI tools such as Einstein Copilot, where he found out about the Einstein Copilot Quick Start, which grants you your very own five-day trial org with Einstein Generative AI included.

Happy Hour

As we bragged about in our TDX in pictures post, we also hosted a party! The Salesforce Ben Happy Hour, in collaboration with Gearset and Affinity, went down a treat, and it was so nice to meet so many of you!

Although the on-the-ground team handled the hosting, we do have to extend our thanks to our brilliant event organizer, Julia, who we couldn’t have done this without.

Summary

TrailblazerDX 2024 was a great one, and I hope this post provided a bit more of a backstage look at what our team got up to over the week.

Roll on Dreamforce later in the year – hopefully, we’ll see some of you there!
