Ascendx Raises $110M in Latest Round to Expand Salesforce-Focused Solutions

By Thomas Morgan

London-based SaaS solutions company Ascendx Cloud announced that they have raised a remarkable $110M in their latest funding round.

The fundraising includes $57M in equity and $47M in debt financing, making it one of the largest growth-stage investments in the CRM sector to date. I spoke to Ufuk Civlio, Co-founder and CEO of Ascendx, to discuss what this means for the company’s future.

The Story of Ascendx

Founded two years ago by Ufuk, Ascendx Cloud designs and develops apps that can be used by different companies to improve the way they manage relationships with customers and deal with customer complaints. Their most notable clients include food delivery service DoorDash and telecoms giant Verizon.

For Ufuk, this remarkable funding round enables the company to scale up even quickly and truly expand their capabilities.

“This investment allows us to scale in ways that simply weren’t possible before,” Ufuk explained.

“The first priority is expanding in the US. North America is the biggest CRM market in the world, making it a natural focus for our growth. We want to bring more Salesforce-driven enterprises the power of intelligent automation and smarter data management.”

“We’re also using the funds to drive strategic acquisitions that strengthen our platform. A good example is our recent acquisition of CapStorm, a leader in Salesforce data backup and recovery. Their technology is already trusted by major industries like life sciences and financial services. With CapStorm now part of Ascendx, we’re enhancing the resilience and flexibility of Salesforce data management.”

Ascendx Cloud in the AI Era

The software providers are also utilizing the power of AI to help their clients, with DoorDash actively using AI to deal with customer queries or complaints, receiving the information, and assigning it to a team member to deal with the issue.

Ascendx’s AI tools also help delegate tasks and share client leads between employees, ultimately removing the need for human intervention and keeping “office politics” out of the decision-making process.

This approach is achieved by focusing on these three key factors:

  • Data Driven Decisions: Tasks are assigned based on data, such as urgency, expertise, and availability, thus remaining objective and consistent.
  • Transparency: You can see why actions are performed by the AI, right inside Salesforce.
  • Learning and Adapting: Accepting feedback to make sure their systems remain smart and fair over time.

“Our AI doesn’t just automate – it improves the way teams work together.”

Now backed with significant funding, Ufuk hopes to take these non-negotiables and elevate their AI tools further to help businesses make smarter decisions.

“The funding is all about building out our AI-powered solutions. We want to go beyond just managing CRM data – we want to help businesses maximize their value through automation that’s not only faster but smarter.”

Former Salesforce President Joins Ascendx

Further signaling its ambition, Ascendx Cloud also announces that former Salesforce President and Chief Strategy Officer, Gavin Patterson, will be joining their board.

Patterson was also formerly president of British telecommunications company BT and was recently appointed chair of Alzheimer’s Research UK.

According to The Times, Patterson has already helped Ascendx Cloud raise $15M alone. He believes that CRM has reached a “critical inflection point” and now is the time for AI and automation tools to take center stage.

For Ufuk, the addition of Patterson gives the company the best chance of understanding how to scale effectively.

“We’re very excited to have Gavin Patterson join our board. His experience as President and CSO of Salesforce gives us an edge in understanding how to scale and innovate in the enterprise CRM space,” Ufuk explained.

“His insights into scaling enterprise technology are going to be crucial as we expand in the US. Also, Gavin’s network and experience open doors to strategic partnerships that can accelerate our growth. He’s been a champion of AI and automation in CRM, and that aligns perfectly with our mission to 10x the value of CRM.

We also have Pullen Daniel, co-founder of nCino, as our second board member. nCino is the global leader in the banking CRM space, and Pullen brings deep expertise on industry-focused workflows to help us on our acquisition strategy and product roadmap.”

Final Thoughts: The Road Ahead for Ascendx

The future looks bright for Ufuk and Ascendx, with this impressive funding round set to fuel significant growth – now backed by one of the most experienced minds in the industry to guide them on their journey.

“The future is about scaling smarter, not just bigger. This funding gives us the ability to deepen our Salesforce integrations, expand across North America, and bring even more innovation to CRM automation,” Ufuk said.

“At the end of the day, our goal is to make CRM not just a system of record, but a system of intelligent action. We want to help businesses get real value out of their data and drive decisions that matter.”
