Ascendx have announced the acquisition of Salesforce data management platform, CapStorm.
Building on an already impressive ISV portfolio, Ascendx’s purchase now expands its capabilities in enterprise data management to help customers maximize their Salesforce investments through stronger data access and verification of data off-platform.
“A New Exciting Chapter for CapStorm”
Since its founding in 2011, Capstorm has established itself as one of the most reputable and advanced Salesforce data management platforms on the market.
Capstorm’s main focus is on “serving” the Salesforce community, allowing customers to gain autonomous use and control of their data in their Salesforce environments for all off-platform use cases.
Specializing in areas such as schema resilience and data/metadata segmentation and restore, CapStorm handles billions of records per day, working to help manage information from all industry types – from Healthcare Life Sciences and global banks to federal agencies and the public sector.
Ted Pappas, CEO of CapStorm, marks this as a vital next step for his company, saying: “Joining Ascendx marks an exciting new chapter for CapStorm. With Ascendx’s deep industry expertise and mature go-to-market functions, we are poised for meteoric growth.
“I will continue our mission, with laser focus, for a shared commitment to create a future where every business maximizes the value of their Salesforce data.”
Ascendx’s Growing Portfolio
While CapStorm is successful in its own right, it can be hard to foster a successful ISV in the long run due to rising costs, and a lack of resources and funding in the market.
This is where Ascendx comes in. As an ISV partnership company, Ascendx focuses on acquiring skilled companies in the ecosystem to help nurture their growth and meet their business goals in the long term.
Ufuk Civilo, AscendX’s Co-Founder and CEO, said: “We want to help ISV founders scale up fast. We leverage our ecosystem expertise to help our portfolio companies outgrow their peers. We keep the founders on board, helping them along the way.”
With some notable apps already in their portfolio, including Ortoo and Eposly, CapStorm is joining a strong group of ISVs. However, CapStorm in particular highlights Ascendx’s ambition to venture into offering new capabilities in their portfolio, expanding into the high-demand Salesforce backup and security market.
Ufuk said:“CapStorm’s innovative approach to Salesforce data management is a game-changer for our customers looking to unlock greater flexibility and value from their data.”
Final Thoughts
Ascendx’s latest move with CapStorm is a big win for Salesforce users who want more access and control of their data and metadata off-platform.
It’ll be exciting to see how this partnership disrupts the market. Make sure to leave your thoughts in the comments!
