Disclaimer: Pardot’s Email Builder is great, don’t get me wrong.
However, the other day I was editing an email template, trying to remove a blank space section. The space was small, and when I hovered and tried to select the ‘Remove’ option, the menu would disappear.
You edge your mouse down slowly …and it’s gone.
Has this ever happened to anyone?
The collapsable menu would disappear because it assumed I wanted to select the menu for the section below.
It got to the point where I was about to admit defeat, when someone made a passing suggestion. Here’s how to get control back.
- You double-click on the section itself
- On the right-hand sidebar, go to ‘Styles’
- Adjust the line height to 20px, or more.
- Switch back to the ‘Content’ tab and ensure there’s actually text in the section (press the space bar, enter, or anything you fancy).
The section would have expanded enough for you to be able to hover over all of the menu options without it disappearing – or collapsing.
There you go!
