Salesforce Teams Up With Google and Nvidia to Strengthen AI Agents

By Sasha Semjonova

In another strong effort to realize their AI goals, Salesforce has joined forces with both Google and Nvidia to build and advance the capabilities of its new Agentforce autonomous agents.

Agentforce, as we now know, is Salesforce’s latest and greatest AI offering, set to “transform the way we work”. Now this new partnership, announced at Dreamforce on Tuesday, is just another boost for the cloud giant’s substantial effort to put the AI strategy at the forefront of their competitors and industry.

The Big Trio

It’s no secret that Salesforce has some notable ambitions when it comes to Agentforce. In fact, Salesforce expects “billions of its Agentforce Agents to be deployed in the years to come, creating new customer and employee experiences” on the platform.

The premise and goals behind Agentforce seem decently watertight, but there’s no doubt that it’ll take a lot to get them off the ground and into the hands of the companies and customers who matter.

That’s why this collaboration with Google Cloud and Nvidia sets out to help Salesforce advance the AI capabilities of the agents that will form the backbone of Agentforce. It’ll work to deliver optimized predictive and generative AI workflows by bringing together the Nvidia AI platform, which includes accelerated computing and AI software.

Nvidia’s involvement in this means that Agentforce agents will “enable new insights and improved productivity across the sales, service, marketing, and IT teams that rely on the industry-leading Salesforce CRM as the one place for all their customer data.” This will be done with the help of Nvidia’s NIM microservices and Nvidia NeMo for model customization.

On the other side of the coin, this extended partnership with Google will allow customers to deploy AI agents that can operate across both Salesforce Customer 360 and Google Workspace apps. Agentforce then allows customers to build their respective agents that can move freely and securely between these platforms.

What’s the Goal?

If we’ve learned anything about Salesforce over the past couple of weeks, it’s that they’re aiming big. Big plans, big product suites, and big ambitions.

Brian Landsman, Salesforce’s Executive Vice President of Global Technology Partners confirmed this observation. “We’re creating the world’s first agent ecosystem together with partners like Google Cloud,” he said. “Humans work across many systems to get work done, and to be effective, agents need to as well. Together, Salesforce and Google Cloud are delivering a fully AI-infused productivity suite.”

Marc Benioff highlighted the importance of Nvidia’s involvement with a keen focus on the customer experience.

“By combining Nvidia’s AI platform with Agentforce, we’re supercharging AI performance and creating dynamic digital avatars, delivering more engaging, intelligent, and immersive customer experiences than ever before.” Marc Benioff, CEO of Salesforce

Summary

It’s clear that Salesforce is pulling out all the stops to solidify their AI strategy. They’re up against some of the biggest competitors in the market and are under constant scrutiny from investors, so this should come as no surprise.

The possibilities of this collaboration between Google and Nvidia are vast, so we’ll definitely wait to see what new advancements to these AI Agents are made in the near and far future.
