Salesforce is currently offering 70% off its Starter Suite solution until July 31, 2026. This offering can also be used after trying Salesforce free for 30 days with Salesforce Foundations.
This comes amid the CRM giant continuing to navigate a turbulent SMB (small-to-medium business) SaaS market, aiming to appeal to SMBs over vibe-coded AI solutions.
What’s the Offer?
Salesforce’s current Starter Suite offer allows SMBs to purchase the solution with 70% off. According to the offer page, there is “no credit required, no software to install”, and it just requires the use of the promo code STARTER70.
It also appears to work alongside a free 30-day trial of Starter Suite. This offers up to 10 users for 30 days, setup with guided onboarding, sales, service, email marketing, and commerce in one place, AI assistance for emails and records, and a free Slack workspace.
If a company were to purchase Starter Suite with this discount, it would equate to $90 per user for the year, or $450 annually for a five-person team.
This offer is valid until July 31, 2026.
Why Is This Important?
Salesforce, like many other tech companies, is no stranger to a discount. However, this particular offer, primarily targeted at SMBs, comes at an interesting time. Last month, the company acquired customer agent business Fin, providing agentic customer service capabilities to SMBs.
Not only that, but Salesforce is also eager to sell its own AI-powered CRM solution to SMBs over a vibe-coded alternative from competitors such as Anthropic and OpenAI.
Some SMB customers are already turning away from Salesforce, and it’s a trend that’s likely to continue. Although vibe-coded solutions do not work for every business, and they can be unsustainable, they are opening up opportunities for businesses who may not have the biggest budgets.
As David Maxey, the Head of AI & Supply Chain Transformation at IT consulting company Stealthmode, wrote on LinkedIn: “I keep saying if they would make a minimum version that is equipped with an app development portion (like Claude CLI) using GLM 5.2 or one of the affordable Frontier models paired with it, I think there would be a massive resurgence of SMB and MM [mid market] business.”
Could this be a deliberate push from Salesforce to stand out as the preferred solution for SMBs amid recent events? SF Ben has reached out to Salesforce for comment.
