Salesforce has announced three new editions: Core, Advanced, and Max, for Agentforce Sales, Agentforce Service, and Agentforce Industries.
These editions bundle Slack, Tableau Next, the Premier Success Plan, enterprise-grade security, and out-of-the-box AI built for every role into every edition.
What’s New?
These three new editions combine built-in AI, collaboration, analytics, and support, all through one package, and are available for Agentforce Sales, Agentforce Service, and Agentforce Industries. Each edition tier includes Agentforce, Slack, and Slackbot, embedded agentic analytics, data security, and Premier Success Plans.
The editions also contain different amounts of Flex Credits, with Core including 500,000 Flex Credits, Advanced Editions including 1M Flex Credits, and Max Editions including 2.75M Flex Credits.
Existing Agentforce 1 Edition customers can upgrade at no extra cost to the Max edition, with up to $500 in added value. This is particularly pertinent as Salesforce claims that the new Max edition alone delivers 60% more value than the Agentforce 1 Edition, at no additional cost.
Salesforce has also said that in the future, Max editions will include an allocation for Headless 360 capacity.
Agentforce for Sales
The Core, Advanced, and Max editions now exist alongside the Free Suite, Starter Suite, and Pro Suite licences for Sales Cloud. Core, Advanced, and Max fall under the Agentforce for Sales umbrella.
Within this umbrella, notable features include:
- Sales agents: Prospect, qualify leads, engage customers, and advance pipeline with agents and skills built to help sellers hit quota.
- Momentum: Capture data and keep CRM records updated, giving sales leaders and teams the visibility to act quickly. Included in Core, Advanced, and Max Editions.
- Sales programs: Deliver structured, repeatable playbooks and incentives, driving consistent execution and better outcomes across deal cycles. Included in Advanced and Max Editions.
Agentforce for Service
Much like Sales Cloud, the Core, Advanced, and Max editions now exist alongside the Free Suite, Starter Suite, and Pro Suite licences for Service Cloud.
Notable Agentforce for Service features include:
- Agentforce Help Agent: Scale global service without scaling headcount. Autonomous agents engage customers on any channel, and Outcome-Based Pricing means you only pay when issues are resolved. Included in Advanced and Max Editions.
- Agentforce Service Rep Assistant: Every rep can get unmetered Coworker access and a full library of service agent templates built in. Included in Max Edition.
- Agentforce Workforce Engagement: Staff smarter and cut costs with AI-powered workforce management and personalized coaching, all in one edition. Included in Max Edition.
- Agentforce IT Service: Automate IT issue resolution with Agentforce Employee Service Agent. Included in Max Edition.
Agentforce for Industry
Core, Advanced, and Max editions for Agentforce deliver the full capabilities of Agentforce Sales and Agentforce Service Editions curated for specific verticals.
They include features such as:
- Industry data models: Deep, vertical data structures and relationships built in for Financial Services, Healthcare, Public Sector, and more.
- Built-in governance: Compliance and privacy controls purpose-built to support your sector’s regulatory requirements.
- Vertical workflows: Accelerate time to value with preconfigured business processes.
- Industry-ready agentic AI: Deploy AI agents pretrained on vertical context and designed to support your sector’s unique requirements out of the box.
The Cost
Max edition will maintain the same pricing as the Agentforce 1 Edition, currently $550 per user per month. The Core edition is priced at $195 per user per month, and the Advanced edition is priced at $395 per user per month.
Salesforce claims that Core offers 70% more value than the legacy Enterprise Edition, and that Advanced offers more than 50% more value than the legacy Unlimited Edition. New pricing for Agentforce Industry Editions will go into effect later this fall.
Existing customer pricing on legacy editions remains unchanged.
Tackling an Edition Problem
Before this announcement, Salesforce’s Unlimited edition was the highest-level edition currently offered for new customers, providing the most advanced features and support. It is possible that these three new editions replace Unlimited and Enterprise, although this is not confirmed.
It was revealed by Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff in the company’s latest earnings call that Claudeforce – Salesforce’s latest partnership product with Anthropic – required customers to have a “premium” licence to be able to use it. According to Salesforce’s website, this specifically refers to the Unlimited licence.
According to Miguel Milano, Salesforce’s President and COO, only 5% of the knowledge workers who use Sales and Service Cloud have upgraded to the higher-end editions. So, at present, only a very small minority of customers will be able to access Claudeforce at all.
It is possible that these new editions are in place to encourage new and existing Salesforce customers to buy a heftier licence in order to be able to gain access to more AI features, including Claudeforce, strengthening adoption numbers.

Final Thoughts
These three editions are available as of today, although Salesforce does state that pricing and packaging are subject to change.
It is likely that we will hear more about these editions at Dreamforce in a couple of weeks.
