This early morning, whilst I was browsing my notifications, I came across in LinkedIn to the latest news of a new acquisition from Salesforce! A company that I actually know, how cool is that!?
Although based in Chicago, I met some of the CloudCraze London team in Paddington over a year and a half ago. I must admit the people behind the product are great and the product itself is fantastic. Only a couple of days ago it was recommended to me by the Salesforce Communities EMEA team.
CloudCraze is essentially B2B eCommerce, it has always surprised me that the offering with Commerce Cloud (previous acquisition Demandware) it was only B2C. So with this new addition, you will have access to B2B commerce technology which is already built natively on Salesforce. Which also means lives natively on the secure, compliant, scalable and reliable Salesforce Infrastructure, supporting trust, transparency and constant innovation.
So yesterday, they signed a definitive agreement to be acquired by Salesforce. Ray Grady, President and Chief Customer Officer, said:
“Our customers are at the core of every new product or strategic decision we make. As we look ahead to joining the Salesforce family, we’re even more excited about the opportunity to help forward-thinking companies deepen business buyer engagement and increase their share of the market for years to come“.
With some big names already as customers, like Coca-Cola, they have already proved the solution. From Forrester Research, a prediction that the B2B commerce industry is expected to grow from $889 billion today to $1.2 trillion by 2021.
If you are keen to see this in motion you can request a demo for CloudCraze team to take your through their solution or as they may be quite on demand as of yesterday start checking out this video.
CloudCraze is the second Salesforce acquisition to be announced so far this year (following Attic Labs in January). With this year ambitious goals, who knows what else is in the pipeline!
