Just in time for the World Tour, last week Salesforce released some updates about Trailhead (the fun way to learn salesforce).
To give you first a bit of context Trailhead was launched first at the beginning of 2014. Now, two and a half years later we count more than 300,000 users and a total of 2.5 million earned badges!
Salesforce Labs released last week a new listing in the Appexchange, which we all have available to the download Trailhead Tracker, and for free!
Salesforce Labs is a program that lets salesforce.com engineers, professional services staff and other employees share AppExchange apps they’ve created with us, the customer community. We already enjoy some great tools from the Salesforce Labs like the Adoption Dashboards & Data Quality.
The Trailhead Tracker app is designed to guide users through their Salesforce learning path of Trailhead. Managers can assign, track, and report on badges earned by their teams via pre-built reports and dashboards, so progress could not be more easily tracked. And all of this within your salesforce org.
The key app listing highlights are:
– Automatically sync Trailhead activity (in progress and completed badges) for your employees into your Salesforce org on a daily basis.
– Personalize your onboarding and training programs by assigning relevant Trailhead badges to your employees.
– Use pre-built reports and dashboards to track badges earned by individual users and teams.
This is only the beginning, in 2014 Salesforce Labs released too the listing “Almond”, one of many hidden gems from the app exchange, it is a Learning Management tool. I can see with the recent app listing, legacy of Almond and Salesforce extending its use for our organizations internally… the trailhead framework has endless possibilities, I cannot wait to see what’s coming next!
