New: Einstein GPT for Commerce and Composable Storefront Page Designer

Salesforce has unveiled two Commerce Cloud innovations that will help merchants build seamless, personalized experiences (on any commerce platform) with AI intelligence and headless capabilities.

The result? Personalized consumer experiences at scale that are intelligent, automated, and real-time. This drives efficiency, productivity, and time to value for organizations willing to invest their resources in cutting edge commerce.

We’ve seen the hype around generative AI build up incredibly fast, the climax of which (in the Salesforce ecosystem) was the Einstein GPT announcement earlier this month. But is it hype? The general opinion is “no, it’s not just hype”, with the majority of senior IT leaders believing that generative AI is a ‘game changer’, and 84% saying it will help them better serve their customers (according to a recent survey). With Einstein GPT, Salesforce is incorporating generative AI technology across its platform, with new applications for Sales, Service, and Marketing. Now it’s the turn of Commerce.

Einstein GPT for Commerce

Einstein GPT for Commerce combines public and private AI models with data from Salesforce Data Cloud (Genie), such as customer demographic data and shopping history, to build personalized product listings without preloaded product descriptions or information inputted in the back end.

AI-generated content is delivered that continuously adapts to changing customer information and needs – hugely time-saving for users.

Example: A customer in Australia will see a different product description for an umbrella than a customer in the United States, without the retailer having to manually add pre-written versions of the copy for each season into Einstein GPT.

This also opens up the opportunity to design tailored promotional offers, with auto-generated messaging to customers over WhatsApp, SMS, and email.

Composable Storefront Page Designer

A fast and flexible page designer for Composable Storefront controls the site to build headless commerce experiences with less cost and complexity.

Summary 

The hype around generative AI has built up incredibly quickly – the climax (in the Salesforce ecosystem) was the Einstein GPT announcement earlier this month. By attracting so much attention, and with Salesforce professionals immediately seeing the use cases for generative AI in Salesforce, the general opinion is that no, it’s far from just hype

Now this ‘game changing’ technology will be baked into Commerce Cloud, with Salesforce continuing to innovate headless commerce experiences – all with less cost and complexity.
