The wait is over – Dreamforce will be going ahead in 2020! Salesforce has gone back to the drawing board and rebuilt Dreamforce for today’s all-digital, work-from-anywhere world.
Dreamforce to You 2020 is a reimagined, virtual experience for learning, innovation, and inspiration that will commence November 12 and span the course of a month.
Yes, we have a definite answer after months of anticipation. We knew, early on, that Dreamforce would be virtual, then hints that Dreamforce would be canceled began to bubble up. While it’s not the week-long bonanza that attracts 170,000+ Trailblazers to San Francisco every year, what Salesforce has been working on behind the scenes is sure to delight and inspire.
A question on everyone’s minds has been: “how will Salesforce pull off a virtual Dreamforce?”
In light of the global pandemic, Salesforce took the decision to curb their physical events earlier this year, moving them online and introducing new relevant content. Following the success of TrailheaDX in June (a shorter event, lasting a few hours, but packed with exciting announcements), other stats give them reason to believe that, so far, it has worked out well:
“We’ve had more than 200 million views of our new virtual events, including Leading Through Change, B-Well Together, and TrailheaDX”
Stephanie Buscemi, EVP and Chief Marketing Officer, Salesforce
Dreamforce to You 2020 Agenda
While the full Dreamforce to You agenda is pending, what we do know is that the event will kick off on November 12, and the content will be free and publicly available.
November 12: Dreamforce to You 2020 will open with a virtual keynote. Marc Benioff (Salesforce Chair and CEO) will share Salesforce’s vision for the future, celebrate customer success, unveil new innovations across the Salesforce Customer 360 Platform, and more.
Giving Back at Dreamforce
‘Giving back’ has always been a present theme at Dreamforce – of course, this year would be no exception.
“Whether Dreamforce is online or with 170,000 registered attendees in San Francisco, we are committed to making giving back an integral part of the celebration. During Dreamforce to You 2020, Salesforce will donate a total of $5 million to address the crises our communities are facing.”
Ebony Beckwith, Chief Philanthropy Officer
Salesforce will donate $5 million to address today’s economic, hunger, health, climate and racial inequality crises:
- $2 million small business fund to provide financial relief to San Francisco small businesses. Please visit salesforce.com/sfsmallbizgrants to be notified when the grant application process opens.
- $3 million to support organizations addressing hunger with World Central Kitchen and Eat. Learn. Play., health equity with (RED) and CareMessage, and climate action with Plant-for-the-Planet.
