Salesforce has secured a $1.6B, three-year Agentic Enterprise License Agreement (AELA) with the US Department of Veterans Affairs. This will see the company’s military business arm, Missionforce, support VA care and service delivery.

This coincides with Salesforce’s $5.6B US Army Contract that it secured at the beginning of the year.

Deal Details

This contract, which aims to support America’s Veterans, will seek to do so through Agentforce and Missionforce, focusing on three key areas: AI-powered support and 24/7 care coordination, connected teams for faster care, and unified data for more personalized care.

Agentforce Public Sector and Agentforce Health will enable VA to provide 24/7 virtual contact center support for patient triage, intake, and care coordination. From there, AI agents can be deployed directly into existing VA workflows to surface real-time knowledge during live calls, route and triage cases, and automate benefits verification.

Slack will be used as the “connective layer” for teams in order to provide care for veterans when they need it most, with the goal of supporting VA’s goal of reducing the time required to schedule an appointment from an average of 28 days to minutes once fully deployed.

MuleSoft, Tableau, and Data 360 will also be used to integrate VA’s legacy platforms into one single unified platform.

Kendall Collins, the CEO of Missionforce and Government Cloud, took to LinkedIn to share his support, saying: “VA is using Salesforce to help the men and women who served our country get the care and support they have earned. We are bringing the same world-class technology that the best private sector companies have to fulfill that mission.”

Expanding Govtech Work

This deal expands on Salesforce’s longstanding partnership with the VA department and the US military, and comes after the CRM giant secured a $5.6B US Army Contract in January and was named one of America’s Most Patriotic Companies in 2026

It also further reinforces the likelihood that Salesforce is actively trying to cement its agentic future in govtech. It is likely that Salesforce is trying to embed Agentforce as a critical operational layer within complex enterprises rather than a standalone AI solution.

Summary

Not only does this VA agreement signify Salesforce’s perseverance in the govtech space, but it also emphasizes the company’s dedication to supporting veterans that it has maintained for years through the likes of Salesforce Military and Hiring Our Heroes.

This will likely not be the last military-adjacent deal we see this year.
