Salesforce Acquires AI Automation Company Regrello to Boost Agentforce and Slack

By Henry Martin

Salesforce has signed a definitive agreement to acquire business process automation provider Regrello with the intention of integrating its offering into Agentforce and Slack

Revealing the news on August 18, the cloud giant said that Regrello’s AI-native solution, which turns business data into “agile, agentic workflows”, will accelerate Salesforce’s innovation in agentic process automation.

A Boost for Agentforce and Slack

Salesforce hopes that integrating Regrello with Agentforce and Slack – once the acquisition closes – will help customers transform “manual, inefficient activities” into agentic automations, which will improve critical business processes.

“This orchestration is a key step toward realizing the vision of an agentic enterprise, where people and AI work together to achieve more than either could alone,” Salesforce said in a statement.

The acquisition is expected to close in Salesforce’s third fiscal quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.

Steve Fisher, President and Chief Product Officer at Salesforce, said: “Businesses need greater agility, yet too often critical processes are hindered by disconnected tools and manual workflows.

“Integrating Regrello will turn unstructured artifacts into coordinated workflows, bringing humans and agents together on the Salesforce Platform and giving every employee the ability to automate manual work, collaborate in real time, and deliver customer value faster.”

The CRM giant said the deal does not change their Fiscal Year 2026 guidance.

Regrello CEO Aman Naimat said: “We founded Regrello to eliminate the friction in enterprise work. Joining Salesforce gives us the reach and platform to bring agentic process automation to more organizations, helping teams break free from old, slow, and expensive ways of working to agile, AI-powered execution.”

The transaction will be funded through cash on Salesforce’s balance sheet, and it is not expected to disrupt Salesforce’s capital return program, the company said.

Regrello is understood to have around 90 employees.

Final Thoughts

This news comes only a few days after Salesforce announced the acquisition of Waii, an enterprise-grade natural language to SOQL platform – along with AI-prospecting platform Bluebirds.

It seems a fairly common practice at this point, with Salesforce bringing AI-specialist companies into the fold in order to make sure its own offering, Agentforce, is as competitive as it can be.
