ServiceNow Lays Off Hundreds of Staff and Hails ‘Real AI Efficiencies’ Within Business

ServiceNow is laying off hundreds of employees, SF Ben understands. Rumours of staff being let go had been circulating on LinkedIn and Reddit, with a number of people claiming to be affected. 

A person familiar with the matter has now confirmed that a three-figure number of employees at the ITSM company are being let go. 

‘Managing Headcount With Discipline’

When asked about the layoffs, ServiceNow said: “Like any company of our size, ServiceNow continuously evaluates our organization to ensure we have the right talent in the right roles. 

“Our platform is generating real AI efficiencies inside our own business – we run the way we ask our customers to run.

“We’re actively investing in and hiring for the AI-focused skills this era demands, while managing headcount with discipline to end the year where we started. That’s how we grow sustainably and win.”

According to Layoffs.fyi, which tracks tech sector job cuts, 117,879 tech employees at 178 companies have been laid off so far in 2026.
