Salesforce is buying conversational insights and revenue orchestration platform Momentum, in its second acquisition of 2026. The software company announced on February 18 that it had signed the definitive agreement in order to boost Agentforce 360 and Slackbot’s capabilities.
The deal, which is expected to close in Salesforce’s Q1 of fiscal year 2027, will help Salesforce’s AI offerings ingest and analyze unstructured data from third-party voice channels like Zoom and Google Meet, and apply those insights to agentic workflows, the CRM business says.
What This Means for Salesforce
Momentum’s universal ingestion engine will be integrated with Agentforce and Slackbot to capture interactions from voice and video applications.
Salesforce says that Momentum’s ability to capture high-fidelity unstructured data allows it to improve the context available to Agentforce 360 and Slackbot. In other words, as agents scale across an enterprise, the ability to extract insights from customer conversations is increased.
Steve Fisher, President and Chief Product Officer at Salesforce, said: “To deliver on the promise of agents, we need visibility and context from every meaningful interaction.
“Momentum accelerates our roadmap by unlocking the long tail of conversational data and bringing it directly into our platform. This ensures Agentforce 360 and Slackbot can incorporate the true voice of the customer to drive complex, multi-step workflows.”
Santiago Suarez Ordoñez, CEO and co-founder of Momentum, said: “We founded Momentum to bridge the gap between unstructured conversation and structured action.
“Joining Salesforce allows us to close the loop for GTM teams, transforming the static audio of a meeting into structured intelligence that drives immediate revenue impact.”
Just last week, Salesforce signed an agreement to acquire agentic commerce and product discovery company Cimulate.
Cimulate’s capabilities improve Agentforce Commerce with context-aware AI and, once integrated, the new tech will help retailers provide a better, more “conversational” search experience, Salesforce said.
This will likely be achieved through a mixture of personalized recommendations and direction for the customer when needed.
Summary
Salesforce has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Momentum, an insight and revenue orchestration platform. It is the CRM company’s second acquisition of 2026, after a deal to take over agentic commerce company Cimulate was announced last week.
Both deals aim to boost Agentforce’s capabilities. It’s something Salesforce explicitly looks for in its acquisitions – as the company battles to make Agentforce as comprehensive an AI solution as possible. If we take a look at last year’s M&A spree, we see a similar pattern. This year, too, could very well see more agentic solutions being snapped up by Salesforce.
