ServiceNow has confirmed it is laying off more staff as part of changes which are “global in nature”. The ITSM company let hundreds of employees go earlier this year.

More recently, unconfirmed rumors on Reddit claimed that layoffs would be “bigger than round one”. Specific figures have not yet been confirmed, but ServiceNow confirmed it was “managing headcount with discipline”.

‘Necessary Changes to How We Are Structured’

It is understood that headcount at ServiceNow started at around 29,000 this year and currently sits at around 30,000.

The tech industry will be watching to see which roles are most affected by layoffs, and which are seeing headcount increase as the company strives to hire for AI skills.

A spokesperson said: “ServiceNow is committed to having the right talent in the right roles, and that means making necessary changes to how we are structured.

“We are driving efficiencies across the business, actively investing in and hiring for AI-focused skills, and managing headcount with discipline to end 2026 where we started, as we shared earlier this year. That’s how we grow sustainably and win.”

There have been 124,380 tech employees laid off at 247 companies so far in 2026, according to Layoffs.fyi.

SF Ben is monitoring the situation and will provide updates on the layoffs as they come.
