As we head towards the end of each year, the Salesforce Ben team likes to take a step back and look at our achievements and milestones from the past 12 months. We are always proud of what we and our group of community contributors has produced, adding significant value to the Salesforce ecosystem.

With tons of posts published for admins, and our highest views of all time, we were curious to know – which were the most popular posts with Admins? Well, the results are in! Here are the ten posts aimed at Salesforce Admins that received the top pageview counts this year.

The Winter ’24 update has introduced some wonderful new features for Flow alongside the usual quality-of-life improvements that come with each release, all of which are worth raring about!

9. Top 11 Dreamforce ’23 Keynote Announcements

Salesforce’s flagship event, Dreamforce, took place in September 2023 and was jam packed with new announcements. No surprise that the key pieces of news were centered on AI and Data Cloud coming together.

The tagline for the keynote, hosted by Founder, Chairman, and CEO, Marc Benioff, was titled: “Now everyone is an Einstein – Data + AI + CRM + Trust”. Key announcements included the Einstein 1 Platform, Copilot Studio, plus free Data Cloud & Tableau licenses, for all customers who are on Sales and Service Cloud, Enterprise or Unlimited edition.

8. Breaking News: Salesforce Announce Einstein 1 and Copilot

Einstein 1 is a relaunch of the Salesforce platform to create a trusted AI platform that Salesforce customers can use with confidence. The key to Einstein 1 is Einstein Copilot, the built-in side panel of the user interface. Einstein Copilot Studio is made up of three components: Prompt Builder, Skills Builder, and Model Builder.

7. 10 Ways to Use Salesforce Inspector

Salesforce Inspector is one of the most rated Chrome extensions, with more than 400K Salesforce professionals using it! Salesforce Inspector can be used for many things including easier visibility of fields and field values, search and filter, and query and export.

6. 10 Hottest Salesforce Winter ’24 Features for Admins

The Winter ‘24 release was brimming with goodies for Salesforce Admins. My favorites include Dynamic Forms for Standard Objects and mobile, and Intelligence View for Leads and Contacts!

5. 10 Hottest Salesforce Summer ’23 Features For Admins

The Summer ‘23 release included a seemingly record number of enhancements for Fields and Analytics.

You could also supercharge your related lists and delight your users by streamlining the actions available and adding quick actions directly to related lists. These changes allowed users to create related records for items in the list without leaving the page, as well as performing mass updates to up to 100 records!

4.  Salesforce Release 5x Free Integration User Licenses

Announced at TDX in 2023, Salesforce gave orgs (Performance, Enterprise, and Unlimited editions) five free integration user licenses in March! The new licenses are specifically designed for system-to-system integrations, as it only provides the user with API access.

As well as saving customers money, the new licenses enables customers to better protect the security of their Salesforce org since best practice dictates that you should use one user per integration to properly track and identify the transactions at every integration point, and maintain granular control over access.

2. Breaking News: Salesforce Einstein GPT Officially Announced 

Salesforce is launching Einstein GPT to deliver auto-generated AI content, right within the Salesforce platform, with use cases including Slack, sales, service, marketing, commerce, and app builders. This is the world’s most powerful, intelligent, generative CRM – making every employee more productive and improving every customer experience.

1. Salesforce to Retire Permissions on Profiles – What’s Next?

In January 2023, Salesforce announced the end of life for permissions on profiles. Retirement was due in the Spring ‘26 release; however, in December, Salesforce released an update to say that they will not be enforcing the change come Spring ‘26.

Everybody, breathe a sigh of relief! That said, Salesforce recommends you adopt a permission set led security model, as future enhancements will be mostly for permission sets and permission set groups.
