Women in Salesforce DevOps – Global Community Launch

By Lucy Mazalon

There’s been plenty of buzz about DevOps in the Salesforce ecosystem this year. DevOps professionals help businesses get the most out of their Salesforce investment by making it possible for teams to deliver a continuous stream of added value to end-users.

Read more about what a career in DevOps involves, and where it can take you.

Salesforce professionals with DevOps expertise are in huge demand. On average, across all DevOps processes, 85% of teams already use or plan to adopt them in 2021.

This spike in demand will need to be met. There are groups not traditionally involved with DevOps that offer fantastic, untapped talent – such as women.

How is gender diversity looking in the Salesforce DevOps cohort? Can we encourage more women to upskill? And how can we connect new and experienced female DevOps Trailblazers?

Women in Salesforce DevOps Global Community Launch

We’re partnering up with DevOps platform, Gearset, to host the first “Women in Salesforce DevOps”, a new global community for women passionate about building on Salesforce.

Our aim is to create a friendly, like-minded community where women from all over the world can support and inspire each other as they develop their careers in Salesforce DevOps. Planned events will take place across the US, UK, and virtually, too.

Our first community event will be in London! Join us at Madison Rooftop bar on Sept. 8th 2021 to celebrate and get to know our fellow women in Salesforce DevOps.

Equality is Core to the Salesforce Ecosystem

Equality is one of Salesforce’s four core values. They strengthened their commitment when they hired their first Chief Equality Officer, Tony Prophet, back in 2016. Since then, they have advocated diversity in all aspects of their organisation, becoming transparent with their representation goals and equality data.

The Salesforce Women in Tech (@SFDCWiT) movement gains momentum with each year that passes – a series of local user groups in the Trailblazer Community that focus on personal development and career progression by overcoming industry challenges.

Last quarter, Christine brought something to our attention – the lack of female developers that contribute content to our blog. So, she went out on a mission to connect with Trailblazers in the community, pumping our pipeline with posts from the brightest female developers who want to share their ideas with the wider community. We want to extend our mission into female DevOps professionals – we’re looking forward to connecting with you all.
